Jobs for Individuals with Disabilities

More than 50 million Americans are living with a disability. The U.S Defense Health Agency is committed to increasing federal employment of individuals with disabilities through the Obama Executive Order 13548.

The DHA utilizes the Federal Government's Schedule A Excepted Service hiring authority for persons with disabilities and increases participation of individuals with disabilities in internships, fellowships, and training and mentoring programs.

With increased recruitment, hiring and retention, the DHA is dedicated to reducing discrimination against workers with disabilities, eliminating the stigma associated with disability, and encouraging Americans with disabilities to seek employment in the federal workforce.
